Getting Connected

Windows

1.   As a user enters a HarborLink Network location, their computer will typically alert them to the presence of an available wireless network.  The user simply selects HarborLink’s option and presses “Connect”.

2.   Once connected, the user opens their web browser and is automatically forwarded to the HarborLink Network Authentication Page.  Simply place a checkmark to accept the terms of use for the network and click on “Start” to begin the session.

3.   After clicking “Start”, the user is authenticated and are then forwarded to the location-specific “Welcome” page.  The user may now surf to the site of their choice. 

Mac OS: 

1.   Click on the wireless icon located at the top right of the screen to display the  AirPort menu.

2.   Click on “HarborLink – Public Welcome” or “harborlink” to connect to our network.

3.   Launch an Internet browser (i.e. Safari) and you should be redirected to HarborLink’s Authentication Page.

Note: If the HarborLink Authentication Page is not displayed, try browsing out to a  public website like http://www.google.com or http://www.yahoo.com

4.   Accept the terms of service on HarborLink’s Authentication Page to activate your Internet connection.

 

Consumer Electronics and Mobile Devices with a Browser:

1.    Depending on the user interface of your device, there should have a place to choose the wireless network for connection.  When a list of Wi-Fi Signals (“SSIDs”) is present, select “HarborLink – Public Welcome” or “harborlink” from the network list and click “Connect”.

2.    Once connected to the network, launch the browser on your device and you should be redirected to HarborLink’s Authentication Page.

Note: If the HarborLink Authentication Page is not displayed, try browsing out to a  public website like http://www.google.com or http://www.yahoo.com

3.    Accept the terms of service on HarborLink’s Authentication Page to activate your Internet connection.
